Frigidaire FFFR560
This refrigerator has the appearance of a luxurious appliance, but without the price. The counter-depth dimensions let you achieve that look of a built-in design for less than a custom refrigerator. It also does a good job of hiding the water dispenser and ice maker behind a false panel. This makes it appear more seamless than fridges that show the appliances. However, it suffers from a few design flaws that prevent it from being as great as it could be.
The biggest problem with this Frigidaire is that it's counter-depth. This means it is unable to use about 7 cubic feet of usable space compared to the Gallery refrigerator in normal depth measurements. This is a significant loss particularly when you consider the appliance costs close to $3500.
Despite this, the refrigerator still does a great job of holding steady temperatures in its cooling and freezer compartments. It also performed well on our spill test by keeping liquids and water in check, even on the top shelves.
The Frigidaire is a fantastic choice if you want an French-door refrigerator that has the capacity of a large, flexible drawer that flexes. It has a smudge-proof steel finish and the left door is smaller than its right one, which makes it easier to access the fridge's controls. The drawer's flex can be set to different temperatures, so it can be used as a freezer, an insulated cooler, or even a place for chilled wine or drinks.
This fridge is easy-to-use however, it's not as intuitive as the other refrigerators we've tested. It features a digital panel with a simple design and offers numerous useful features. For example you can change the door bins left to right, and there is an option to turn on the freezer in turbo mode for a quick burst of cold. It's also energy STAR certified, which means you can cut down on your utility bills by using this refrigerator. However, it lacks some convenience features, such as a temperature-controlled meat/deli bin and a light in the freezer. Its storage capabilities are only average.
